Lokrum is under special protection as a nature park. The island is uninhabited and there is no traffic here. The whole area is covered by dense pinewoods. On its southern part there is a gorgeous botanical garden containing rare sub-tropical and Mediterranean species. Within the island there is a small salty lake. This is very popular bathing destination, since the average temperature is higher than the one in the sea.
After light lunch in a restaurant on the island, we paddle to the Old Town, where we end our excursion.

We avoid ship routes and sea traffic areas by crossing the sea canal between Dubrovnik and Lopud on our speedboat (90Hp). From Lopud we paddle to Ruda and Sipan. En route you will see charming fishing villages with old monasteries and castles, untouched nature and stunning caves.
The island of Lopud is exceptionally beautiful: natural sandy beaches, Dalmatian stone architecture and Renaissance palm gardens await our kayakers.
Šipan is the largest of the Elaphite islands. Much of the island is overgrown with Mediterranean maquis, but it is also rich in vineyards and olive groves. As well as the two major settlements, Sudjuradj in the southeast and Šipanska Luka in the southwest, there are a few smaller hamlets scattered over the island, in the coves, on the hilly slopes and in the valleys.
